Sara Felix has worked on conventions since 1999 including a number of Worldcons, WorldFantasy, and local conventions. She is typically in a marketing role from design and layout of publications to creation of the gift baskets for the guests. Whatever the role there is always some sort of crafty element that she is able to add into the project. Sara is the president of ASFA, The Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy artists, and works extensively on the Chesley awards each year. In 2016 she designed the Hugo base for MidAmeriCon II in Kansas City.
As a crafter Sara has appeared on HGTV on Crafters Coast to Coast making clay tiles and flying pigs. She enjoys trying out new types of crafts and craft tools and has a large craft room full of supplies. Her favorite types of crafts include projects with resin, polymer clay, or paper.
